This spread, which builds on “Mars-tini,”delves into a darker dystopia to the “Drink Ticket” fantasy. The left page features a digitally-illustrated photo that distorts the project’s traditional philosophy with contrasting cultural values. This piece was made with masking, retouching, and adjustments to a series of distinctive elements to convey a sense of depth in their coexistence in order to illustrate a more complex plot behind the work. The page is accompanied by an illustration along with a vector-based logo, serving to brand the series and reinforce its conceptual identity.
“Drink Ticket” is a conceptual print magazine guided by the philosophy of the martini—a timeless, versatile symbol of luxury. Honoring the cocktail as both a facilitator of connection and a purveyor of elegance, the project reimagines iconic trends from past decades, all preserved within a singular imagined world: Mars-tini, a surrealist dreamscape intended to bring home the surrealist. Inspired by the cheeky anecdotes of the 1950s, each spread fuses elements of old Hollywood glamor, retro-futurism, and Art Nouveau advertising, serving as a vibrant reflection of the artist’s distinct personality and creative vision.
