“Residential V” is a reversal, where submission and defiance exist as two sides of the same coin. A sort of yin-and-yang, those that once defied structure recede to it, while those formerly entrapped by it step outside the boundaries.
The “Residential” series is a visual study of domestic femininity as performance. Each frame fractures an illusion, revealing the woman beneath the role reaching for authorship she was never granted. The viewer’s curiosity becomes a voyeuristic act, complicit in transforming ritual into spectacle.
