A more abstract rendition of Morgan I, as framed through the window. The frame becomes a boundary and an invitation, evoking themes of surveillance, voyeurism, and the quiet charge of female intimacy.
I shot Morgan on a cloudy morning in a set of true 1920 apartments. Navigating corridors and stairwells with ornate architraves and millwork run thick with five layers of paint, details softened by time. I concluded that the series traces a decaying history and the deliberate, intentional forgetting within it.
